AV Specialist

AV Specialist

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Duration: 6+ months

Technical Knowledge

  • Troubleshooting proficiency to include AV and VTC equipment diagnostic testing, signal fault isolation, and routine service restoration.
  • Tandberg/ Cisco VTC codec familiarity, including camera and microphone placement and adjustments.
  • Installations of conference room VTC and AV equipment, including ceiling and table-mounted projectors and wall screens, and flat-screen monitors, microphones, speakers, amplification, and all necessary cabling.
  • Understanding of AV schematic drawings and signal flow and reference to analog and digital matrix audio and video switchers.
  • Familiar with Digital Signage equipment installations and network connectivity.
  • Working knowledge of Polycom conferencing a plus.
  • Crestron touch panel operation and first-level maintenance.
  • Knowledge of Biamp systems.
  • Live and Special Event AV support.
  • VIP and large meeting support.
  • Understanding of IP Networks, basic laptop and computer display connectivity -with various video adapters.

Communication Skills

  • Able to make time-sensitive decisions based on the best interest of customer requirements, and to provide immediate remedial solutions to AV-related issues, and to follow through on long term resolutions as needed.
  • Must have the ability to effectively manage projects at a high level of competency dealing with upper and executive level management.
  • Self-starter, able to recognize, anticipate and deliver departmental responsibilities and imminent maintenance actions to ensure maximum capabilities of the facility.
  • Willing to learn other areas of collaboration and stay on the cutting edge of technology while working on ad hoc projects: including Cisco Hybrid Services, O365, etc.
  • Able to work independently or as a part of a team.
  • Demonstration of understanding customer requirements by providing appropriate and comprehensive assistance in AV environments.
  • Provides customer with exceptional and timely service and understanding of the customer requirements.
  • Anticipates and delivers technical solutions proactively.
  • Ability to communicate with internal customers, to include executive leadership and external high level customers.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, including Visio/PowerPoint creation/animation.
