Location: San Diego, CA 25% onsite, 75% remote (1st 4 weeks required onsite, then one week a month for 3 months, then remote after the 4th month)
Duration: 6 + months
Description: The Principal Solution Architect
role provides technical solutions and support for Customer's IT and Development
department in alignment with all business departments and functions. The
position requires deep technical competence in one or more technology domain
with a strong understanding of multiple domains to lead end-to-end solution
planning. Additionally, the role requires leadership and people management
skills to communicate business and technical complexities to a variety of
audiences. The role leads meetings, presentations and interactions with both
technical and non-technical teams to provide guidance, facilitate decisions,
drive implementations and be accountable for desired outcomes. Through normal
operations, the Principal Solution Architect role interacts with business team
leaders, IT senior leadership, enterprise architects, security, developers and
infrastructure engineers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Contributes
to strategic leadership for business alignment, conceptual architecture
and technical designs.
- Accountable
to provide leadership to technical planning for roadmaps, programs,
projects, and initiatives
- Accountable
for architectures and designs in alignment with roadmaps, programs, projects,
and initiatives.
- Accountable
for aligning life-cycle management planning to budgets and roadmaps.
- Accountable
for aligning corrective actions for audits, incidents and problems to
roadmaps and technical solutions.
- Accountable
for business outcomes based on implemented technology solutions.
- Provides
leadership to organize, manage and drive cross-team project initiatives
and deliverables.
- Provides
support for environment maintenance, problem management and incident
resolution.
- Provides
project task delivery and environment support during business hours,
nights and weekends as needed.
- Provides
constructive feedback on people, process, and technology for continuous
improvement.
Required Experience:
- 5+
years of hands-on technical experience in at least one technology domain
(network, compute, database, middleware, development, etc.)
- Demonstrated
ability to work with technical teams on planning, organizing, prioritizing
and problem solving.
- Demonstrated
ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of business
and IT management.
- Demonstrated
ability to deliver enterprise solutions governed by compliance policies,
change control and project methodologies.
- Demonstrated
ability to negotiate solutions to complex problems across multiple
business and/or technical areas and vendors.
- Demonstrated
ability to create and communicate a vision for business and technical
solutions.

Requirements
Required Experience:
