Jr. VoIP Technician

Duration: 6 month initial contract long term extensions

Location: Seattle, WA

Position Summary:

The Unified Communications Administrator operates and maintains our unified communications environment. The UC systems are foundational to Tableau doing business and help employees communicate and interact with our customers. The UC Administrator helps operate a highly-available, fault-tolerant infrastructure. This role works to resolve voice connectivity and application problems expeditiously to eliminate and/or minimize down time. They assist with strategic projects, enhancements, upgrades, and maintenance required to facilitate business needs.

Primary Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

• 1 – 2 years Support and troubleshooting of issues related to phones, voicemail, videoconferencing, web conferencing, and instant messaging

  • First line of contact for UC team and ticket assignment
  • Communication 10/10 needed
  • Fulfills and tracks purchase orders and receiving of goods

• Maintain UC infrastructure at new Tableau office locations

• Assists with cross-team work to ensure projects are completed on time with high quality

• Participates with problem resolution efforts for UC issues

• Implement solutions that have been designed by engineers for the UC environment

• Manage priorities and simultaneous projects

• Collaborates other team members in a positive supportive manner.

• Keep accurate documentation of all Unified Communications work.

• Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot technical issues

• Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, teamwork, and customer service skills

• Uses good judgment and tact.
